Due to the size, weight, volume or fragileness of the product(s), your order will ship via LTL freight carrier with the product bundled on wooden pallet(s) as opposed to small package carriers such as UPS, FedEx or USPS. Dock / Tailgate Delivery: dock delivery requires the customer to have a standard-height raised dock where a freight truck can back into and unload the pallet(s) with a pallet jack. A tailgate delivery requires the customer to manually receive and unload the pallet(s) from the tailgate of the truck, usually with a forklift. Inability to receive via this method may incur additional fees such as storage, re-delivery, re-consignment, return shipping, and accessorial fees.
Lift Gate / Curbside Service: this option is required if the delivery location cannot accept the delivery via the Dock / Tailgate Delivery method described above. A box truck equipped with a lowering mechanism known as a liftgate will be used to bring the pallet(s) to ground/curbside level. The receiver will be responsible for the pallet(s) once it is lowered to the ground level.
Lobby Delivery: includes delivery with a truck equipped with a liftgate and the driver moving the pallet(s) to the 1st threshold of your facility which is typically the building's 1st floor lobby. If there are any obstructions such as steps, stairs, unstable ground or the door way is not wide enough to accommodate the width of the pallet, the delivery driver is only obligated to move the item(s) to the 1st obstruction. Typically single doors cannot accommodate a pallet.
White Glove Service: If available, this service includes lift gate service and premium delivery service of the item(s) to any specific location instructed by the receiver, as well as unpacking, removal & disposal of all debris and packaging. Installation or Assembly is NOT included. Freight elevator and up to 3 steps or stairs are included; if the desired location requires more than 3 steps or stairs please contact us, a custom quote is required. A draw-back of this service is that the delivery can take up to 10 days longer than other options since the order is shipped to a specialized white glove service provider who will contact you to schedule the final delivery appointment.
* Freight cost estimates: on our website are priced based on standard commercial locations and subject to change if your delivery location is a limited access location or zoned as a residential location. Limited access locations include: camps, places of worship, shopping centers, educational institutions, construction sites, fairs and carnivals, individual/mini storage units, military base/installations, mine sites, some government facilities, schools, businesses located outside city limits, rural locations and farms. Limited access may also include concentrated urban locations that are not easily accessible with large delivery trucks.
