The SentrySafe 4-drawer fireproof file cabinet features 1-hour fire resistance (UL Class 350 Certified) meaning that the internal temperature of the cabinet will not exceed 350° for one hour (paper ignites at around 480°). It is also ETL certified for fire protection of digital media such as flash drives, CDs, and portable hard drives. Comes with a tubular-style privacy key lock and two keys. Stores letter and legal (side-by-side) file folders.

• Underwriters Laboratories® (UL) Fire Rating
  This SentrySafe cabinet has met Underwriters Laboratories stringent requirements for the classification of "Record Protection Equipment." This includes a test for fire-resistance in external temperatures exceeding 1700°F for 1 hour and a 2000°F explosion hazard test. The duration and maximum temperature of a fire in a building compartment depends on several factors and the cabinet may protect the contents for a longer period of time.

Insulite, which is poured into the cavity between the steel outer wrapper, and the individual inner steel drawer jackets, enables the Sentry design to maintain the same protection with less weight and wall thickness than competing brands.

SentrySafe's Fire Protection

All fire resistant insulation requires some form of water to prevent the spread of fire. Sentry's trademarked air-dried insulating composite, Insulite™, features water that is chemically bound such that no free water exists. Competitors' oven-dried insulations have trace amounts of free water, which can evaporate over time and cause fire resistance and protection to degrade. Insulite™ contains no asbestos, and never dries out or loses its protective ability over time.
