The MTX A-BUS VC2 volume control power module incorporates stereo amplifiers with a level control that can power a pair of speakers in each room. Only one category 5 (CAT-5) cable is needed to connect the hub and the power module making install quick and easy. Speaker cable is then run from the power module to the speakers. The MTX VC2 IR-equipped modules relay 38kHz and 56kHz codes to the source components for input track/channel selection, etc. It also includes infrared talkback and status indication. An LED indicator signifies when the A-BUS system is on (see Power/Status below) and it flashes to signify an infrared command has been received. The volume level on the MTX VC2 A-BUS module can also be operated by the supplied remote control handset. Three colors of Decora style wallplates, inserts, and buttons are also included (white, ivory, and bone).

The Local Input Module provides "local" input capability for sources such as TV sound, MP3 player, computer sound cards, etc. located in the zone. The Local Input Module automatically switches to the local input when a local source is detected. 30-seconds after the local source ceases, the Local Input Module automatically reverts to the main input source. The Local Input Module is easy to install. Note: Care should be taken during pre-wire to run the category 5 (CAT-5) cable from the hub to the power module via the Local Input Module installation point if this facility is to be made available. The MTX ABUS-LS1RJ Local Source Input Module is an in-wall RCA connector mounting plate that features two gold-plated, color coded RCA jacks. It features a rear panel RJ-45 connections, and fits into a standard sized lighting switch box.

The ABUS-MS1 4-Source Input Module provides stereo audio and IR control connectivity from your system components to the ABUS-HUB1X4 distribution hub. This module features four sets of stereo RCA inputs with loop-outs for DVD/CD player, cable boxes, amplifier, etc., RJ-45 jack for hub communication, and a 12V-Trigger output for power switching. It features IR emitter outputs to transmit infrared commands to concealed components. With this option you can finally close your entertainment doors, conceal your system components and their messy wires, and still maintain full control.
